Service Sector in Samarkand Region Analysis And Development Prospects

This article examines the important role of the service sector in the socio-economic development of the Samarkand region. The dynamics of the gross regional product (GRP) and its components are analyzed, as well as the impact of both global and regional factors on the development of this industry, including the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, is assessed. The article highlights the main problems and constraints that hinder the growth of the service sector, and proposes specific measures to increase its effectiveness. Among the recommendations are investments in infrastructure, improvement of personnel policy, digital transformation and integration into world markets, which can become the foundation for the long-term sustainable development of the service sector in the Samarkand region.
